This month Leisa Plocher provided the Gridster Bee members with African fabrics her mother had collected to create the Africa Queen pattern by Anne Batiste. I enjoyed fussy cutting the fabrics to make three royal ladies.
Awesome ladies!! You were able to do three? I need to bug Leisa for more fabric, then, and do another. I ran out of the beige. I love your arrangement of the prints--these women look so grand. And thanks for the link to Anne Batiste--I have updated my blog too.
Oh hoe beautiful. I love those fabrics and the blocks. I have always wanted to make a quilt of authentic African fabrics.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, you highlighted the prints so well with your cutting.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful! I think the fabrics are really perfect in these blocks!
ReplyDeleteWow, these look great!! Very striking royal ladies!
