It's been a long time coming, but I finally finished the quilt I've been meaning to gift to my daughters preschool teacher. Never you mind that she just completed first grade, such as it was with the Covid-19 disruption.
Her teacher welcomed my inhibited daughter, and even humored calling her "princess" rather than her given name.
She wore overalls more often than not, encouraged tricycling, and allowed my baby to explore painting with an easel. Mostly, she made me long to be four again.
I used the Week #7 Squaredance block from the Community Sampler by Maureen Cracknell and Sharon Holland.
I'm an avid Heather Ross fan, so her Kinder line for Windham was just the thing.
I used a Fig Tree & Co. print similar to All Hallow's Eve in Pumpkin Houndstooth for the backing.
I did a simple sashing of the solid background surrounding the 12" blocks.
I love all the quilting, Afton. She sounds like a VIP for sure.
