It's time to fess up...ahem...I mean, see how I've been doing on my Q2 finishes for the 2017 Finish-A-Long.
First, I need to take stock of what I had in mind several months back by checking out my original post.
I completed my Lonestar Pillow using the free pattern from Six White Horses.
I've pin basted and stitched some on-point lines with my walking foot on my Arrowhead Quilt from Amy Garro of 13 Spool's Tribal Block Club, but the project awaits detailed fillers. I've been inspired by some incredible borders designed by Jessica Gamez.
I've sewn together my spare parts from my Summer Breeze Quilt remnants, but I'm not sure what kind of blocks I want to add to the top.
My Wonderland Quilt made with C+S's Wonderland collection is completed, except I might add some more quilting to the blocks.
All in all, I've been pretty productive, but there are plenty more UFOs where those came from. I also anticipate having a baby will deter progress.
I think you made great progress this quarter. I think that the tradeoff in productivity for a new human being is a rather worthwhile exchange. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks to me as though you've done an incredible job finding time and energy to keep up with your sewing goals!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on what you mangaged to get done this quarter. You will certainly enjoy the amount of time you do get to sew after baby arrives that much more. Little steps still add up to a finished project over time.
ReplyDeleteWonderful progress. I know you are looking forward to the new baby. Maybe you will have time to quilt some more before the arrival :)
ReplyDeleteI was thinking along the same lines as Yvonne, hoping you'd flash a photo of a pregnancy up there, to be included in your Q2 finishes (maybe you are waiting for Q3...). Excellent finishes, and I love seeing all your quilting. You really do inspire!
ReplyDeleteGreat pillow! I think you're doing great with your finishes. (Says the woman with zip zero nada finished from her list this quarter!)
ReplyDeleteOn behalf of the global hosts, thank you for participating in the 2017 Finish A Long!
