Quilt Market: Riley Blake

Welcome to the Riley Blake section of Kansas City Quilt Market trade show! The display for Wildflower Boutique (Riley Blake website swatches) was a major eye-catcher.  The color contrast, exquisite quilting, and variety of projects was captivating.

The Celebrate Sewing 10 Year Anniversary Quilt using In the Meadow by Keera Job and Riley Blake Design Basics (69" x 73") and designed by Kelli Fannin (who also designed the Hauling Stash quilt shown in my precious Market post) was another breathtaking beauty. And that quilting!!!!

It doesn't get much cuter than Lori Holt's Granny Chic. There won't be any talk of "not your grandmother's quilt". After all, this imaginary chic grandma is adorable, and everyone loves her. So there!

Now let's dial it back a few years (quite a few, actually). It's time to meet some young ladies who are of the social media day and age. Here's Melanie Collette of Hello Melly Designs with Flutter and Shine.

Then we go on a tropical tour with Under the Canopy (Riley Blake swatches) with Rachael Erikson of Citrus & Mint Designs.

Rose Lane by Beverly McCullouch of Flamingo Toes joined the celebration, with bunting and more than one party dress.

Amy Smart of Diary of a Quilter showed off her down-home goodness in Sugarhouse Park. Check out her Quilt Market recap as well.

Meow! Chloe & Friends by Melissa Mortenson has such adorable projects.

I do love prehistoric creatures. Presenting Fossil Rim 2 by Deena Rutter, coming in October!

Riley Blake is also home to Liberty Fabrics, which had its own cozy corner.

See you later with more from Quilt Market.

  1. Looks like we'll soon be getting a Quilt-A-Long with Lori and all those flower circles. And news-to-me about Liberty and Riley Blake--what fun is this!
