After hearing word of an art quilt exhibit in Santa Fe, NM, while reading the Albuquerque Journal, I gathered the family for a field trip. We stopped for a delightful lunch at Jambo Cafe (closed Sundays) and continued on to the capitol and viewed these fabulous quilts. Granted, they are not all modern, but can provide inspiration all the same.
