Giveaway Day: Aurifil Thread

You know what's better than a giveaway? Two giveaways! I'm so glad you came to visit, that I'm having another giveaway. You may be the lucky winner of five spools of Aurifil 28 weight thread, which is very suitable for hand sewing, or stitching that you want to be noticed.
 I'm offering up five vibrant hues of saturated yumminess!

  2. awesome giveaway! I use 60 wt cotton for piecing, and 40 wt polyester, 30 wt polyester, 12 wt polyester, and 100 weight silk for quilting. You can never have too much thread!

  13. I use 50wt most of the time, but today I really wanted some 28wt in white. I think I have 12wt in white...maybe my machine won't hate me too much for using it.

  15. My go to weight for piecing and quilting is 40wt, but I've used everything from 100wt silk to 12 wt...I'm a thread junkie!

  18. I usually use 50 wt for machine piecing and 40 for hand piecing. I bought some perle cotton sz 8 for a big stitching project in 2016.

  46. I have not tried Aurifil thread yet. Maybe someday I will be lucky enough to win Aurifil thread or maybe Santa will surprise me and there will be a couple of Aurifil spools of thread for me.   66. So far (a 67 year old beginner!), I've only use 50 wt, but I already know that I love Aurifil. I spent some time wandering around your site--what a gifted quilter you are. Your finishes are beautiful, and I discovered your delightful sense of humor as I read different posts and tutorials. I love "meeting" young whippersnappers like you who have so much to teach me! :),

  122. I use a variety of different weights depending on what I'm working on. For piecing I use 50 wt, but for machine quilting I use anything from 50 to 30 depending on how much I want the quilting to really show.
