To Market, to Market...
Today I'm taking you back to Market for a glimpse of what Art Gallery has to offer. I do love the drape and softness of their fabrics that makes them distinguishable from other brands.
If you want to sail away, if only in your mind, to a shoreline bungalow, Coastline by Sharon Holland would be a most excellent fit. You can almost taste the salty breezes and feel the sand between your toes. Squawk! That was a seagull, folks. Immerse yourself in the corals (the color, not the sea creatures), soft browns, and peaceful blue hues.
Chalk & Paint by Caroline Hulse has a playful, hipster vibe. It's the melding of street art and innocent imaginings.
I had the pleasure of meeting Bari J., who made herself at home (or rather studio) in the middle of Market and was busy painting away. She even let me take a video.
Her paintings lend themselves beautifully to fabric.
The florals and geometric prints within her new line, Millie Fleur, would be very workable in quilt design.
There's a nice mix of larger scale eye-catchers and more subtle, yet interesting, basics.
Maureen Cracknell's Fleet & Flourish is one part bohemian, one part romantic. It's girly, but with an edge.
Alternative substrates are very hot at the moment, and Art Gallery is getting in on the trend with their denim line.
Pat Bravo has created a daring new collection with Pop art and bold shapes.
Katarina Roccella pulls together a minimalistic flower, a handmade stitch, and geometric shapes in Avantgarde.
But that's not all from Katarina; she also has the unabashedly floral Lavish coming out in April.
Bonnie Christine has been a long-running favorite of mine. Forest Floor holds to the high standard I have for her collections with its sense of whimsical adventure. It does have rabbits and butterflies, after all!
Art Gallery Fabrics produces limited edition lines, the latest of which is Paperie by Amy Sinibaldi. It's so dreamy!
Thanks for joining me today. I hope to see you soon!
Thanks for posting on upcoming Art Gallery Fabrics. I love how they coordinate across lines. Hawthorne Threads just posted that they have Fleet and Flourish in stock. Wonder if it's too late to ask Santa for a fat quarter bundle...
