  1. I have a basket in which I collect them. I've made one quilt from its contents, but it's starting to overflow. Time to work on that again, or get a second basket. We're all collectors, right? I follow you on Bloglovin. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  2. I keep them organized by size-if super small I cut to a square, otherwise I keep by color. (Or I give away to someone else!)

    ReplyDelete
  3. My scraps are only partly organized (by color) and even though I regularly use them to make small and large projects they seem to multiply! It's a common problem, I believe. They are too pretty to get rid of though!

  27. My scraps are sorted by shape- squares and rectangles. Anything that can't be made to fit one of those categories is put into the scrap pillow- basically a rectangular bag that I made out of extra blocks that is being filled with tiny scraps and cuttings. Once it is full, it is sewn shut and becomes a bolster pillow.

I throw "left overs" from quilting and sewing projects into a bin and when I start another project I sort through the collection, looking for those I can use. I hope to some day switch to "pre cutting" the scraps into usable sizes and storing them that way. It will be much neater and easier to see what I have. I love my scrap bin!
