There has been quite a stir since RJR announced the original Cotton+Steel designers would be moving on from the company. Where would they go? Who would be designing for Cotton + Steel? Quilt Market brought some answers. Melody Miller, Rashida Coleman-Hale, Alexia Abegg, Kim Kight, and Sarah Watts have become the Ruby Star Society and will be collaborating with Moda Fabrics.

Meanwhile, RJR has launched collections with an Around the World theme and a set of new designers. Leslie Tucker Jenison launched Pollinator.

Victoria Findlay Wolf has come from Marcus to join the RJR team. She has low-volume Neutrals collection, assorted Stripes, and prints within Playmaker.

Once Upon a Time uses images created with silkscreen, colored pencils, collage, and acrylic paint in a diary-like style. Emi Oka, its creator, hails from Japan.

Newsprint is a collaborative collection featuring prints from the four Around the World: Japan designers.

Starstrung by Briar Hill designs shows of the woodblock prints in Chiemi Fujita's Kibori collection

Mori No Tomodachi by Hitomi Osumo rounds out the collections. The quilt is Ellabella by Sew What You Love, the Roo Romper is by Too Sweete, Astoria sweatshirt by Colette Patterns, and Turkis Dungarees by Pauline Alice Patterns.

What do you think? Are you an avid C + S fan? Will you be snatching up the Ruby Star Society prints when Moda starts shipping? Are you jumping onboard with RJR for a trip around the world, starting in Japan?
