Quilt Market: Lucky Spools

Today's virtual revisit to Quilt Market takes us to the Lucky Spools booth. Since Market, it brings me much sorrow to report the founder of Lucky Spools, Susanne Woods, has passed away. She was a beautiful person who was nothing but kind to me every time I visited the booth over the years.

While the loss of a bright soul such as Susanne is horrendous, the company's authors still have the high-quality books Lucky Spools is known to publish available. Please keep Susanne's legacy alive by supporting these talented quilters. Walk 2.0 is now available for those wanting to explore a greater variety of designs using the walking foot to stitch your three layers together.

Alyce Blyth did a book signing for Mini Masterpieces. The fun continues with a monthly Quilt Along  on her Blossom Heart Quilts blog, and a Facebook group. Scroll to see quilts from the book, but keep going for another literary treasure.

Patchwork USA has 2 dozen smaller projects perfect for retreats away from home, or just as suitable for staycations.

Patchwork Lab: Gemology: Transforming Fabrics into Facets is a brilliant text for making gemstone-inspired projects. Match the recipient's birthday to their birthstone, or make an assortment of treasures. I'd love to make one of these for my little princess!
