To make things even easier, Fat Quarter Shop has a Pandalicious kit available.

Was it just me, or did your mind start playing Palisades Park when you heard the name of the quilt? Given this line of thought, it should come as no surprise that I chose Dana Willard's Boardwalk Delight collection for my version of the quilt.

The Boardwalk Delights collection is very well-conceived. The colors are luscious, the prints have a variety of scales, and there are two great text prints. There's a nice balance between focal prints and blenders too.

The diagonal stripe of the Soda Straws print made it perfect for binding.

I do have one suggestion regarding the pattern. If you choose a directional print for Fabric A, it will end up going diagonally surrounding the center square. To avoid this issue, cut one 9 3/4" square rather than two 6 7/8" squares. I cut from corner to corner on the diagonal twice, resulting in four triangles.

Tisha Cavanaugh of Quilt Icing long-arm quilted my Palisades Quilt. As you can see, she did an incredible job. I can't say enough good things about her work. She takes non-local jobs, but I'd suggest contacting her soon so she can put you on her schedule.

  10. This is really a beautiful use of the fabric here! I have to agree that the black added so much to the overall effect, and it can be one of those fabric we wouldn't normally choose to pair with the others. Excellent arrangement!
